Who are we?
|
Highlander Builders was established in 1998. In 2004 Tim Stow joined the company from Grinaker LTA and a year later, he bought the company. Highlander Builders operates in the famous Garden Route and will now also be operating in the Eastern Cape area. In 2007 Highlander Builders were awarded the NHBRC’s Home Builder of the year award for homes over R1,5 million for the Eastern and Southern Cape Region.
Tim Stow has 30 years of experience in the building industry. Tim joined Concor Construction in 1980, where he studied Civil Engineering at Wits Technikon. He qualified in 1983 with a diploma in Civil Engineering. Tim later joined Grinaker Building in 1991 , where he was appointed as a Director in1999. Tim is a registered Professional Construction Manager (PrCm). While working in the construction industry, Tim has worked on a number of high profile contracts, among others:
M25 road widening including Bridge Construction, London (U.K.)
Lost City Entertainment Centre, Sun City
Rand Merchant Bank RMB Towers and office complex, Sandton
TA Bank, Rosebank
V&A Waterfront Luxury apartments, Cape Town
Hemingways Shopping Centre, East London.
Tim Stow is a highly motivated individual who is recognised in the industry for his ability to complete projects on time, within budget and to the required level of quality. He has a hands on management style. The drive, support and direction that he provides to managers and project teams ensure that primary project objectives are achieved. He has a keen eye for detail and a commitment to the very highest level of professionalism and integrity.

Highlander Builders’ motto is “Quality, Integrity and Value for money”. Their trademark is “trouble-free Building”. Their mission is to make construction a pleasurable experience for all concerned in any project. Their well established reputation for excellence in all aspects of the building trade has been achieved through their belief in teamwork. To achieve this, every project is managed by a highly trained foreman and personally overseen by Tim Stow (the owner), thus forming part of a team including the architect, engineer, client, their interior designers and the local authorities.
Tim Stow will ensure the continuity of building excellence.
